Movie review: Disney's Meet the Robinsons

If you have watched any television recently you have no doubt seen the commercial featuring the above dinosaur and one of the funniest lines I have ever heard..."I have a big head and little arms." I still laugh every time I see that commercial. Well out of curiosity we went to see Disney's "Meet the Robinsons" this weekend. The commercials and trailers all give very little info about the movie and I am glad as it made it that much sweeter in the theater. This is by far one of the best Disney movies I have seen for a good while and one of the first in a long time to have a very prominent positive message. This movie is well worth the almost two hours and the price you pay for your ticket. It is full of so much more than just the quote above. The plot is a little random in places, but the message is clear. I highly recommend it to you and you'll find that parents enjoy it as much (if not more) than the kids. Don't miss this one. There are such great messages about consequences, adoption, and perseverance that it is worth a discussion afterwards as well. The Mattster's rating...4 stars!

Angie and I TOTALLY concur. We saw it in 3D which made it even cooler ... but we both agree that it's the best Disney movie we've seen in a loooong time. Super creative ...

I just saw this tonight and got burned, dude.

It's a G movie, which in the last few years Disney has put out Cars and Pooh's Heffalump movie as G flicks. I took my 3 and 6 year old to it and they both FREAKED OUT at the intensity. Blazing saws, enlarging heads that look like they will explode, hats that take over people's minds, and then the dino's initial appearance.

Nope... gotta pass on it. Might have been fun without kids, but with kids it's a different set of eyes.
